Information on Jonathan Beard

Jonathan moved with his family to the land of Hall County during the year 1843. He was 57 years old at the time. He and his family built a house out of pine logs, wooden pegs, and square nails. the house is still standing and has been remodeled several times. It is presently (1996) owned and occupied by Mrs Clarence "Jenny Mae" Compton, located at 123 Holiday Rd Buford GA. Jonathan was born on August 6, 1786 in Kershaw District SC.
