    JONAS HALSTEAD4 (1673—l726+); Timothy3) m. about 1699; removed about 1726 to Rye, Westchester Co., N.Y. He deeded land at Hempstead, probably part of his father's estate, on May 26, 1705, and made a recorded agreement with his brother Timothy and John Searing on May 6, 1708.
    There were at least eight children.
