Some sources list Robert and Alice Lawtie Wright as his parents. This is incorrect. They are the parents of "Quaker Joshua" Wright and he did have a brother named John. But Joshua's brother, John's date of birth is May 25, 1640, Howden, East Riding, Yorkshire, England; and records show he had only three children by an unknown wife - Mary, Alice and Arthur.

'There is a possibility that the John Wright who witnesses a deed transaction between John Taylor, Sheriff and Joseph Bulkey on Nov 30, 1724 in Chester County, PA is this John Wright.
