  2. Both NEHGR, p. 54:404 and Source:Phillips, Vernon S. Francis Nash of Braintree, Mass. and 480 of His Descendants, p. 6, identify Elizabeth's husband as the school teacher of Braintree, but this appears incorrect.
Source:Sibley, John Langdon. Biographical Sketches of Those who Attended Harvard College (1690-1774), p. 4:532, identifies the school teacher as the son of Solomon and Elizabeth Veazie, b. 1681, class of 1700 Harvard College. But Sibley indicates that this person died by 3 Jul 1707. So he could not have been the man who married Elizabeth Nash about 1708 (before 1709 when son William is born).
There is some confusion, however, because the death is based on a comment in Sewall's diary mourning the death on 3 Jul 1707 of "a young hopefull Minister", but this person is identified as "Mr. Veazy [H.C. 1693] of Braintry" (Vol. 2, p. 191). The Veazy who graduated in 1693 was Rev. William Veazy born in 1674 to William and Mary Veazy. But William did not die until 1746 and the context of Sewall's remarks appear to match the school teacher of Braintree, who filled in for an ill minister in Braintree in 1704 and whom Sewall heard preach at Medfield in 1705 (see page 2:139 of the diary).
William Vesey of H.C. 1693 left a will in 1740 naming his brother John Vesey of Braintry (NYGBR, p. 2:204). So it appears that Elizabeth's husband was William's brother, s/o William Veazie and Mary Sanders.
