Buried in the Flandreau cemetery. According to Spies in 1939, h is gravestone read: "In memory of JOHN W. SEACORD, son of Daniel who died July 10, 1838. Aged 41 years." However according to Seacord in the 1890's it read: "In memory of John W Seacord, son of Daniel and MAGDELEN SEACORD who died July 10, 1838. Aged 41 yrs. 1 mo. and 12 days." Probably the stone was broken in the intervening years.
