Information on John Sayre

Daniel's son John Sayre was born in about 1705 [1708?] in Elizabethtown, Union county, New Jersey. He moved to New York city where he worked as a tailor and shopkeeper. I'm not sure when he moved there, but he was in New York in 1730. He may have lived in the Jamaica, Queens area. He married Esther Stillwell in about 1730 in New York City, though there are references to the marriage occurring in Elizabethtown [where he was born] and even at Christ's Church, in Philadelphia [where he eventually lived].
