Facts and Events
Scotland and Beyond shows this John as married Q3 1868 to Rebecca DRY Denmark, then a Margaret.
Margaret is also DRY Denmark, and sister to Rebecca, but it is more likely that the John married to these sisters is the son of Thomas & Alison (CURRIE) RUNCIMAN.
Some trees have John as dying in 1868.
As this wasn't in Scotland or England as far as I can currently determine, it is possible that this is a misinput into a database from Scotland and Beyond where the 3-1868 has been interpreted as his year of death.
