Genealogical History of the Rice Family : Descendants of Deacon Edmund Rice, p. 70, reports this date as 17 Dec 1739, but it appears to indicate the winter of 1738-39, so a date in December would be 1738. Ward does not know the marriage date of the parents, and all he reports of JOhn is that he "settled early in life at Annapolis, N.S."]
