    John Maynard's wife, Mary (Starr) Maynard, died before her father, who in his will, dated 22 April 1659, bequeathed ... to each of the five daughters of his daughter Maynard, deceased, as each should come to the age of eighteen years. John Maynard died 4 October 1658, and administration on his estate was granted to his second wife, Elizabeth.
