    Dated 30 September 1747. John Maris, cordwainer, of Springfield in Chester Co., “being sick and weak of body”, bequeathed to wife Susannah; son John; daus. Sarah, Mary, Susannah, Cathrin Pusey, Alice (her 3 daus.) and Hannah (her children). Exs. wife and son George. Witnesses John Levis and James Maris. Proved 18 April 1748 by both witnesses. George was made sole executor.
