Helen's uncle, Rev. Ernest Jaques, officiated at their wedding. He was assisted by Rev. Ball, the rector of the parish. Jack and Helen farmed all their lives until they retired in 1974. They now live in Gorrie. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1989. Other than Jack having both hips replaced due to arthritis, they enjoy generally good health.
