In a vault on the south side of the adjoining churchyard are deposited the earthly remains of WILLIAM SIMMS Captain Lieutenant of the Royal Marines who died November 20th 1836 aged 86 years also of SARAH his widow (Relict of HENRY LEAKE Esqr of Tavistock in the County of Devon) who died August 7th 1840 in the 82nd year of her age likewise of HENRY LEAKE born December 1st [sic]* 1802 died July 21st 1821 and of JOHN LEAKE born December 4th 1802 died February 13th 1839 (sons of the above HENRY and SARAH LEAKE) and of JOHN and JOHN CECIL sons of the above JOHN LEAKE who died in their infancy also of ELIZABETH relict of the above JOHN LEAKE who entered into rest February 18th 1876 aged 74 years LUCY LEAKE born April 20th 1800 died May 17th 1878 MARTHA SIMMS LEAKE born Febr 11th 1796 died Decr 12th 1890 ISABELLA MILLWARD relict of the late JOHN MILLWARD of Edgbaston died April 18th 1899 in her 101st year »

    * NOTE: Henry Leake is shown here as having been born on Dec 1st 1802 while his brother John on Dec 4th 1802. As they were twins, this is a bit unlikely. And in fact the Parish Register of Tiverton (where they were born) shows them both born on Dec. 4th 1802. See: S2
