John and Hannah LeCount renounced their claims to the administration of the estate of Caleb Ferris on 12/26/1795. LeCount is also spelled LeCompt. In about 1800, John LeCount and his brother-in-law Caleb Ferris settled on Lot No. 22, 218 acres, of the confiscated lands of the Loyalist Colonel Beverly Robinson, in Phillipstown, Putnam (then Dutchess) County, NY. John was a scout for George Washington. Charles McKeel, Nancy LeCount's husband, later bought John's land on Lane Gate Rd., including Dale Pond. Francis also known as Francois References
