Member of Company E, 173 Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted in Lawrence County, Ohio on 18 August 1864 and was discharged at Nashville, Tennessee on 26 June 1865. According to his Declaration for Pension, he was 5' 4 1/2" tall, had a light complexion, blue eyes and dark hair.
