John Jones's Will
In the Name of God Amen, I John Jones of the Parish of Antrim in the County of Halifax, being weak of body but of a sound and perfect mind and Memory (blessed be God for the same) do make and publish thsi my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
First I Give and devise to my eldest son David Jones one Shilling Sterling
also I Give and devise and bequeath unto youngest son Job Jones one Shilling Sterling.
Also I give and devise unto my Daughter Susanna Jones one Shilling Sterling.
Also I give and devise unto my Daughter Margrett Jones one Cow and Calf at the day of her Marriage ~
Also I Give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Jane Jones all my Goods and Chattels of every kind and degree whatsoever I have during her Widowhood and if in case she should Marrie [sic], I give and devise all the whole to my daughter Margrett Jones my Goods and Chattles, and if my Wife Jane Jones should not Marrie [sic], she is to dispose of the whole at her death to whom she shall please to leave it to, to them their Heirs and Assigns forever.
I appoint my Wife Jane and William Douglass Joint Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament desiring my Brother-in-Law William Douglas, to take upon him the Charge and trouble thereof and to see the same performed according to my true intent and meaning.
And lastly I do hereby revoke all former any other Will or Wills by me made and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament.
In Witness whereof I the said John Jones have hereunto set my hand and seal this Fifth day of October in the year of our Lord God One thousand seven hundred and seventy two ~

This Will was Exhibited in Court by the Executor herein Named who made Oath hereto, and being proved by the Oaths of two of the Witnesses hereto was ordered to be Recorded.
And ion the motion of the ___ Executors Certificate was Granted them for obtaining a Probate hereof in due form Giving Security whereupon Alexander Douglass and Peter Hart became their Securitys and they entered into and Acknowledged Bond and being so Sworn.
