Virginia Militia, Revolutionary War as Army Chaplain. VA 6th. Buried at Baptist Cemetery, Fleming Co., Locust, KY (RootsWeb) Moved from Baltimore Co.,MD to Frederick Co.,VA in 1756. In 1782 moved family to Watauga Settlement, Washington Co., TN. In 1790 they moved to Bourbon Co.,KY then to Fleming Co., KY. John Hunt Sr, served as Army Chaplin in Virginia Militia and also served in the Revolutionary War, Virginia, 6th Army as Chaplin. He was a Baptist Minister and three of his sons became Methodist Ministers.!
