John and Mary (Toney) Huff are said to have settled just west of the Floyd County, Virginia / Franklin County, Virginia border, in the High Peak community.
It has been claimed that they had 5 children, one being John Huff, born 8 Feb 1763.
Others may have been Amos Huff, Daniel Huff, George Huff, Samuel Huff, but no documentation has been found, and most of the unsubstantiated claims made do not appear to have been accurate. The claim that his parents were Parents: John Hough and Eleanor (Sands) Hough was almost certainly not the case, according to y-DNA testing.
