    from the Orillia Times, Thursday Feb. 6, 1908--page 2,-- Brechin- "A very sad accident occurred near Udney on Monday, when the house of Mr. Thos. Holmes was destroyed by fire, burning his two-year old child. It seems that the house caught fire in the absence of the child's mother, who was away at a neighbor's house but for a few minutes. The funeral took place to St. Andrew's church on Tuesday afternoon, and Mr and Mrs. Holmes have the sympathy of many friends throughout the township."
