ohn "Jack" Victor Fletcher, 90, of Middle Road, Meadville, passed away, Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Crawford County Care Center. He was born February 12, 1922 in Sheakleyville, Pennsylvania a son of Henry Fletcher and Louise Rau Fletcher. He married Lillian Rae Loughner on September 24, 1955; she preceded him on death on October 31, 2009.
He was employed by Talon before going to work for 5M Milling in Springboro, where he was employed as a manager for over 30 years. He worked part-time after retirement at Meadville Farm and Garden.
Jack enjoyed his family, fishing, history, especially his many fishing trips to Canada with the 5m group, gardening, playing cards, and working.
He is survived by four sons, Jacky Loughner and his wife Debbie of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Mark Fletcher and his wife Connie of Harmonsburg, Ricky Fletcher and his wife Kelly of Geneva, Illinois, and Jon Fletcher and his wife Caryn of Conneaut Lake; three daughters; Cindy Haas and her husband Scott of Meadville, Debbie Gladis and his husband Patrick of Meadville, and Betty Lou Conover of Hadley; 23 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a close niece, Janet North and her husband Bill of Mercer; a sister Louise "Toots" Ray of Stoneboro; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his loving wife, Lillian of 54 years he was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Kate Simmons Kelly and Ellen F. Drew; and two brothers, William H. Fletcher and Thomas E. Fletcher.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, October 11th from 11:00am to 1:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. A funeral service will be held of Friday, October 12th at 10:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Kaufer, chaplin of Southern Care Hospice, officiating.
Burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Township.
