His marker at Mineral Ridge reads 'Killed by Accident'. But does not go into further detail. There is another John Duncan who was killed by being stabbed to death at the hands of Ed Curran at the Zenorville Mines. These two individuals are often confused since their dates of birth and death as well as their locality are so similar. To the knowledge of this researcher, the two men named John Duncan are from separate families.
