Advisory

Some researchers have confused this John B. Davis with another John B. Davis that married Sarah A. Harmon, Nov. 4, 1856, daughter of John Harmon and Catherine Harmon. The other John B. Davis is listed in the 1870 census as being 48 years old (born abt. 1822), which would have been three years before the marriage of this John B. Davis' parents.

John Davis-44, Frances A.-40, Grace E.-20, Mary E.-18, James M.-16.,Virginia D.-14, Susan Rebecca-11, William T.-9, John H.-7, Benjamin E.J.-4, Charlotte E.-9 months. Later on these two had: Rosa B.-b 1878, and Charles P.-b 1880
