We know very little about John Chisholm. Brothers, Jesse, John and William are named as heirs to Corn Tassel. It seems likely they are the same men who are sons of Ignatius, but the lack of good records for this period and for the Cherokee make it somewhat hard to be 100% positive. The Old Settlers Rolls contain the name of John Chisholm and his heirs and in the 1896 Roll they are grouped on the same page as Jesse Chisholm's heirs.
