The change is with this John who is listed as: John Carpenter de Allcannings in Com Wilts. == Dau. of Ersfeild. Then comes: William Carpenter de Allcannings sonne et heyre == Dau. of Unwyne. I have found William as the stepfather of John and John was not the heir. Then comes: John Carpenter of Allcannings in Com Wilts == Dau. of Barlett (Bartlett). I have found that the real father was John Whelan. The stepgrandfather would be William Carpenter of Homme b. 1440. JRC Apr 2000
