!SEE: Page 8 of the Carpenter Family in America by Daniel H. Carpenter, 1901. It refers to the Parish Registery at Amesbury, book 1 (1610-1638). It gives children of John and that his wife Joan remarried on 2 Oct. 1638. Parish Records do not indicate a burial for John in Amesbury. It is likely he was buried elsewhere in Wiltshire.

John is listed as the third son in his Father's will. In 1606 he is under apprenticeship. Gene Zubrinsky calculated his age between 14 and 21 years of age. His birth would then be about 1585 to 1592. The birth year 1588 is midrange. Birth about 1588 is possible. "Item I geve to my sonne John Carpenter Tenne powndes to be payde him when the yeares of his apprentishippe are expired."
