"21. John³ Bulkley (Thomas², Peter¹), born at (Fairfield, Conn.?), died at Fairfield, in 1707; married Esther (Burr?),who died before him. Inventory of John's estate taken 22 Apr. 1707. Administration granted to his daughter Sarah Bulkley and to Joseph Whelply. Distribution made to the five daughters, Sarah, Ester. Hannah, Elizabeth and Olive. Elizabeth chose Joseph Whelpley guardian in 1707; and in 1708, her guardian being deceased, the 'Worshipfull Mr. Peter' [Burr] was appointed guardian to her. Sarah Bulkley was appointed guardian to Olive in 1707; and in April 1710 Olive chose her brother Joseph Perry guardian."
