John M. Board John Melvin Board, 71, of 1330 S. Parton St., Santa Ana, died Friday in his home after a brief illness. A foreman for the Holly Sugar Co., Mr. Board had lived in Santa Ana for 16 years. He was born in Tipton, Calif. and was a vetteran of World War I. Mr. Board was a member of First Baptist Church, of Silver Cord Lodge No. 505, F and A. M. of Santa Ana and of the Santa Ana American Legion Post. For the past three years he had been working the night desk at the Masonic Temple. Surviving relatives include his wife Mrs. Alice May Board of the home; one son, John T. Board and one daughter, Barbara Ann Board, both of the home, and a sister Edna E. Bream of Fresno. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Brown Colonial Funeral Chapel, Santa Ana, with the Rev. J. P. Forsander officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Memorial Park.
