    Born Onslow County, North Carolina 7 March 1786, moved to Tennessee with his parents

    1794‑5 He moved to middle Tennessee, Knox or Jackson County, where
    he married (1) 10 September 1807 Mary Campbell Doak, born 9 June 1787 and whose home was in Sumner County, Tennessee. They moved to Simpson County, Kentucky where he was granted 22 acres of land 22 September 1824. (Land Rec. Q,46.) They then moved to Warren County, Kentucky before 1830. About 1831 he went to Cumberland County, Kentucky and brought his parents to his home. He was granted 25 acres of land in Warren County 8 June 1840. (Land Rec. 7‑308.) Mary died 21 November 1828 in Simpson County and

    he married (2) 13 February 1831 Elizabeth Goodnight; born 15 November 1795. She died 20 November 1840, and he died 12 September 1844. He was a farmer and the family Baptists.
