23 Apr 1812: Memorial of "Amos Barrett of Ashby in said County yeoman" showeth that "John Barrett late of Ashby in said County yeoman deceased last dwelt in said County and within on the eighth day of October AD 1810 died unmarried & without issue ... leaving a mother & brothers & sisters who have renounced their right to the administration of said intestate's estate and requested your petitioner to undertake that trust". Bond of Amos Barrett dated same day.
11 May 1812: "Inventory of the Estate of John Barrett late of Ashby in the County of Middlesex Yeoman Deceased" by Allen Flagg, Benj'a Colman, Abel Taylor. Totals real $550; personal $198.80.
29 Jun 1812: Authorization to sell personal estate, as "it will be most for the benefit of those concerned".
6 May 1813: account of Amos Barrett allowed.
25 May 1813: Petition of Amos Barrett Administrator ... Urania Barrett, Jonas Barrett, Lydia Barrett, William Johnson, Benj'a Damon Junior Heirs to the Estate of said Deceased and John Rice Guardian to Rebecca Rice & Benjamin Damon Guardian to Urania Barrett 2'd & Samuel Barrett minors & Heirs to the said Dec'd Estate" to allow sale of entire estate, partial sale being deemed "injurious" with so many heirs.
