Name[1] Johann PETER Schenkel
Gender Male
Birth[1][2] 1 Feb 1779 Meisenbach, Rheinpfalz
Marriage to Eva Catherine Wilhelm

Johann PETER's sons, Peter, Jacob, and Adam, migrated to America in 1837 onboard the French vessel "Louis Phillipe". Was the 1837 migration prompted by the Kingdom of Bavaria taking control of the PALATINATE in that year? We do not have data that describes what happened to the 3 girls in the family.

This Palatine family was one of many to migrate to Tuscarawas County, Ohio in the 1830s. Jacob and Adam Schenkel took their families on to Starke County, which is located immediately north of Tuscarawas County.

In 1847 they migrated to Huntington County, Indiana. Adjacent is Wabash County, which welcomed many of the people which "White Creek" has added to these WeRelate.org pages. These people are very inter-related.

In PETER'S Family Tree can be found the surnames of: RUDIG, URSCHEL, HAUPERT, MILLER, SCHLEMMER, and HOWELL.
