The priest erred in recording Johanes Dierderich as Johanes Theodorus. A thorough search of the death and marriage records by Michael Reeb confirmed the mistake. In adulthood, Johanes Diederich went by Johanes rather than Diederich. (Note: Johann Diedrich is Joannes Theodoricus in Latin.)

Johanes and Ellen moved to nearby Offhausen from Budenholtz, which was overpopulated, by 1706.

Around 1717, Johanes and Eva relocated again. Adam Stockschleder, Johanes' half-brother, decided to join them, along with a cousin, Johannes(who was about 16) who was the son of Arnold and Elisabeth Stockschlager of Buddenhaltz. They left Budenholz and, after a short stay in Weilburg, settled at Eissenstein (Eissenstein, Pfalz, Bavaria, Germany) in the District of Kircheimbolanden in the modern day Palatinate. The family stayed in this area for less than 25 years.
