John I. is a citizen while John (age 64) and Minne are listed as alien. Shows John and Minni married 15 years, both emigrated 1885, and both born in Gremany. John has a job in the trucking trade. 1905 NY state census, living at 27 Scholes, Brooklyn with 7 children (shows Katie as a boarder). John and Philomina married 20 years. John's occupation is moving van. 1910 census shows John and Philomina living at 442 Scholes St., Brooklyn with 8 children. John is listed as a 'Truckman'. 1920 census 35/9, roll 1166, vol 172, ed 855, sheet 5, line 62, shows John and Philomina living and renting a 2 story walkup at 43 Scholes Street, Brooklyn, Williamsburg, Kings County, New York 11206. 1930 census shows John (Widowed) living at 167 Chestnut St., Brooklyn with 5 children. John is retired. John owned the 3 family house at 167 Chestnut Street, Cypress Hills, Brooklyn and lived there until his death in 1941.
