    7. Jesse, b. March 12, 1805.---Family 7.

    (Family 7.)
JESSE HALL, pedigree as before: was born March 12, 1805, and married Margaret Marshall (nee Guthrie). She was born October 10, 1806. He was a farmer, and owned about five hundred acres of land, at different times. He was found dead in his bed, Jan. 4, 1872; supposed to be of heart disease, as he was subject to it.

Mrs. Drown writes of her father: "My dear father was a man of strong mind, and very firm to follow his convictions of right."

Mrs. Dukes writes: "Mother was a widow, with two children, when father married her; a son and a daughter, both of whom live in Iowa. Father was one of the pioneers of Putnam county, coming to it when it was all a wilderness. By hard labor and perseverance, he amassed a goodly portion of property. He was a man of sound judgment and sterling worth; a member of the M.E. Church, as are all members of his family now living."

His wife died Sept. 25, 1870, of lung fever.
