- I Micajah Harrison Clerk of the County aforesaid do hereby certify that Jeremiah Davis and John Roberts Gentlement before whom the written power of attorney appears to have been acknowledge and who have to the certificate of acknoledgment subscribed their names were at the time of so doing and still are acting Justices of the peace in and for said County duly commissioned and sworn. And that the all such of their official acts such due faith & credit is and ought to be given as well in courts of Justice as there duty.
- (SEAL) In Testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of my Office the twentyeighth day of February eightee hundred & five in the Thirteenth year of our Commonwealth.

- At a Court continued & held for Augusta County June the 25th 1805
- This letter of attorney from Jane Berry to Adam Hope having been acknowledge before Jeremiah Davis and John Roberts Justices of the peace for the County of Montgomery in the state of Kentucky appears by their certificate of Micajah Harrison clerk of the said Court with the seal of his office thereto affixed that the said Davis and Roberts are Justices as aforesaid; being presented in Court and on the motion of Robert Wallace the same is admitted to record. Teste.
