    Isaac Gregory and Jonathan Hawkins, heirs and administrators of the estate of Isaac Hawkins, late of district aforesaid, deceased, having full power by letter of attorney for the purpose of selling a certain tract of 207 acres on waters of Cane Creek and Whites branch, waters of Tyger River, which the said Isaac Hawkins deceased was seized of in his lifetime and at his death, part of tract granted to William Sims 2 June 1788, recorded in Book YYYY, page 66, but on a resurvey found to estimate at 2031/2 acres adj. Robert and Stephen Corner, John Bowers[?], William Sims, adj. an Irish bounty line, Thomas Linam, Presley, now for $203.50 paid by John P. Farr for our use and the use of the other legatees (viz) John Hawkins, Benjamin Hawkins, Amos Hawkins, John Wilson, Seth Wilson & Joshua Paulk, 21 Jan 1817.

    Whereas Isaac Hawkins died seized of a tract of 107 acres on waters of Cane Creek and Whites Branch, leaving us, John Hawkins, Benjamin Hawkins, Amos Hawkins, John Wilson who intermarried with Sarah Hawkins and who is properly authorised to act as attorney for Isaac Hawkins and Seth Wilson who intermarried with Martha Hawkins, and Joshua Paulk who intermarried with Phebe Hawkins, and we have appointed Isaac Gregory and Jonathan Hawkins our attorneys, 20 Nov 1816.

    I Jehu Wilson of the County of Wayne and State of Indiana having advanced to infirm age and considering the uncertainty of life and being in my right mind and having my common memory, I make and ordain these presents to be and contain my last will and Testament in manner and form following viz.

    Imprimis. It is my will and desire that all my just debts be paid by my Executors hereafter named.

    2nd My will and desire is that my beloved wife Sarah Wilson should have the use of the lower East Room to my dwelling house, with what furniture she may choose to take and the sum of forty dollars a Year out of my farm and a comfortable maintenance out of said farm during her natural life.

    3rd I give and bequeath to my Eldest daughter Betty Kindley the Sum of five Dollars to her and her heirs.

    4th I give and bequeath to the children of my daughter Dinah Reagan the Sum of Ten dollars to them and their heirs.

    5th I give and bequeath unto the children of my Son Isaac Wilson the Sum of Five Dollars to them and their heirs.

    6th I give and bequeath unto my Son John Wilson the Sum of five dollars to him and his heirs.

    7th I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ruth Reagan the sum of Twenty dollars to her and her heirs.

    8th I give and bequeath unto my Son Seth Wilson the sum of five dollars to him and his heirs.

    9th I give devise and bequeath unto my son Gideon Wilson and his heirs and assigns, all the tract of land and improvements thereon where I now live situate lying and being in the County and State aforesaid, and designated by being the North East quarter of Section Eleven in Township fifteen of Range Twelve East of the Second principal meridian, to have and to hold the same together with all the rights privileges and immunities thereunto belonging unto him and his heirs forever, making this however the condition of his inheritance that the said Gideon Wilson have the care of his mother Sarah Wilson and provide a comfortable maintenance for her during her natural life, and moreover that he pay her in addition to Sum of forty dollars each and every year. I also give and bequeath unto my Son Gideon Wilson my plantation Wagon, all my live stock and farming utensils which may be on the farm at the time of my decease, except such of them as on such part of either of them as may be required to discharge any of my just debts or defray any proper expenses, also all my household and kitchen and dairy furniture after the decease of my beloved wife Sarah Wilson to him and his heirs forever.

    Item My will and desire is and I hereby authorize and empower my Executors hereinafter named to enter upon and settle my Estate without making out an Inventory or returning any Inventory of my chattels property to Court.

    Lastly I nominate and appoint my two sons John and Seth Wilson Executors of this my last will and testament ratifying and confirming this only to contain my last Will and testament.

    In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Eleventh day of the fourth month in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty six. Jehu Wilson (Seal)
