Jarvis Smith 20 March 1809, probated August 1809
"Wife Nancy, Son Jarvis Smith, Daughter Fany Smith. Division among all my children. To William Smith, Thomas Smith, James Smith, Hiram Boone, James Kerrathers, and Ozwell Smith's children. Executors: sons Caleb Smith and Joshoua Smith. Witnesses Tho Fletcher, Ann Bruce, Suckey Smith."

Transcription from Wilkes Co North Carolina Will Bk 2 page 272:
In the name of God Amen. I Jarvis Smith of the state of North Carolina and Wilkes County, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory Do Make and Ordain this my last will and Testament. First I give my Soul to Almighty God, hoping to find a Happy Resurrection, Secondly I give my body to my Friends to Dispose of at their Leisure and to be buried in a Christian like Manner. Then I give my beloved wife Nancy my Dwelling House and one Hundred Acres of Land During her life at her Death to my son Jarvis Smith. Also give a Negro girl by name Soili and all her (unreadable) unto my wife and at her Death to my Daughter Fanny Smith. Also I give my wife Nancy Smith all the Household goods and Kitchen furniture and Plantation utentials and Stock of Horses Cattle & Hogs and at my wifes Death I give the above named Household goods and Kitchen furniture Plantation utentials Horses Cattle and Hogs (unreadable) to be Sold and the money to be Divided among my Children that is not charged.. Then I give my son Jarvis Smith the (unreadable) Field Tract of Land contain 92 acres more or less, then I give my (unreadable) One feather Bed and furniture to my Daughter Fanny Smith, then I give all my lands that is not Deeded from me to be Sold and the money to be equally Divided amongst all my children, then give and (unreadable) that my Books Amounts Notes and bonds to be collected and the money to be equally amid William Smith Thomas Smith James Smith, Hiram Boone James Kerrathers, and Ozwell Smith's children, then I give to understand that all my children into share Equally – then I leave my Son Caleb Smith and Joshua Smith my Executors, given under my hand and Seal this 20th day of March 1809.
