Married 28 April 1798 at Franklin County Virginia Jane Jameson's parents were Thomas Jameson (b. 7 November 1732, d. 6 April 1830 at Indiana) and Hannah Taggart. Jane married first Abner Bird, 7 March 1791 at Albemarle County, Virginia. After the death of her first husband, Jean (Jane) Jameson Bird married Isaac Davis at Franklin County, Virginia, bond 28 April 1798 signed by Williamson Davis, a second cousin to Isaac Davis. There is a handwritten statement by Sallie Ann Davis, dated 11 December 1892 and gives the line of decent from Charles Davis through Isaac Davis. It is available at the National Headquarters of the DAR. Transcription:

"Isaac Davis was born April 11th 1766 he was the third son of Charles Davis (native of Wales) and Sarah (Waters) Davis. He had five broths. Benjamin, Peter, Joshua, Wilson, and Moses. He was married twice and was the father of fourteen sons and six daughters, also step father of two sons his first wife Jane Bird a widow whose parent name was Jimmeson mother of nine children Thomas Bird, John Bird, Charles Davis, Moses Davis, Lewis Davis, (Infant girl died) Alexander Davis, Isaac Davis, Jr, and David Davis. Sons and daughters of first wife. Margaret McSwain second wife mother of eight sons and five daughters Sallie Davis, Peter Davis, Enos Davis, Samuel Davis, Jane Davis, William Davis, Joal Davis, Susan Davis, Nancy Davis, Joshua Davis, Wilson Davis, Margaret Davis, Richard Davis. Lewis Davis third son of Isaac and Jane Davis was born in Franklin county state of Virginia May 6th 1802. He was married to Margaret Coyle January 10th 1837. They were the father and mother of three sons and seven daughters. Elizabeth Jane Davis, Sallie Ann Davis, Nancy Ellinder Davis, Minerva Davis, Mary Ellen Davis, Isaac C.
