In the book "FOX FAMILY", compiled by George Henry Fox, it states: "Reuben and Jane owned a farm near Sycamore Illinois, and a general store in Sycamore. They were Republicans, and leaders in the Weslyan Methodist church. Jane had been a school teacher. Reuben died suddenly of pneumonia Mar.20, 1873 at age 46. Jane raised her family of seven children and they all made a good record. Jane sold her home in Sycamore in 1906 and came to Kansas to live with her children."
