  4. Source:Cutter, William Richard. New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial, [ Vol. 3, p. 1554], calls James the "son of Widow Walker" ("of Rehoboth", as discussed here), nominally losing a generation. He would actually be the grandson of Widow Walker, son of her son James (1620-1691), according to the arguments of Source:Walker, James Bradford. Memorial of the Walkers of the Old Plymouth Colony, Embracing Genealogical and Biographical Sketches of John Taunton, Philip, p. 7, but note that this is an argument contested by Source:Anderson, Robert Charles. Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Vol. 7, p. 202, whose interpretation suggests the relationship, if any, may be more distant.
