Last will and testament( Page 239 Stafford County, Virginia Will Book)

"In the name of God Amen I James Sudduth Senr of Stafford County being indisposed in body but of sound memory and judgment ... settling worldly affairs after the following manner Imp I leave unto my son William Sudduth one feathr bed & furniture vizt that which is now commonly called his Bed also one cow & calf to him and heirs. Item I leave to my son James Sudduth one feather bed and furniture which he now lies as also 2 cows & calves and a pot in case he leaves his Mother. Item I leave to my loving wife Mary during her life or widowhood all my Estate & effects whosoever not above mentioned and in case of her dying I leave all to my Grandson Lawrence Sudduth with directions that it may be apprais'd or turn'd into money for him until he comes of age to be delivered to him at that time. In case of my Grandson Lawrences death I bequeath all to my son James and his heirs for ever. Also I leave to my loving wife Mary one Mulatto boy Mase to do with him as she thinks proper. Lastly I appoint my loving Wife Mary Sudduth my whole Ex Ex of this my last Will & Testament .. Jany 24th 1753

He married Mary Pepper on 13 May 1738 at Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia. He died circa Feb 1753 at Stafford County, Virginia. Mary Elizabeth Travers was born circa 1705. She died circa 1735 at Stafford County, Virginia. Children of James Bennett4 Sudduth and Mary Elizabeth Travers all born at Stafford County, Virginia, were as follows:

     i.   Catherine5 Sudduth was born circa 1724. She married (--?--) Clark circa 1740. She died on 7 May 1741 at Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia. 

(--?--) Clark was born between 1690 and 1720. He died between 1741 and 1780.

     ii.   Thompson Sudduth was born circa 1726. He died on 28 Feb 1741 at Overwharton Parish, Stafford County, Virginia. 

   14  iii.   William Sudduth was born in 1728. He married Alsey (--?--) circa 1759 at Virginia. He died on 10 Nov 1785. 

   15  iv.   James Bennett Sudduth , Jr was born circa 1730. He married Hannah (--?--) in 1751 at Stafford County, Virginia. He died in Oct 1796. 

Mary Pepper was born circa 1715 at Virginia. She died between 1753 and 1800. There were no children of James Bennett4 Sudduth and Mary Pepper.
