Thomas Moore was first married 25 Aug. 1795 to Rachel (Power) Kerr, one of the eight daughters of Rev. James Power, the first ordained Presbyterian minister to settle with his family west of the Allegheny mountains. Rachel (Power) Kerr was the widow of John Kerr, whose will was probated in Washington County, PA 8 Sept. 1794, mentioning his wife and children, Pllly and John.
