James is almost certainly Amos brother and was father of Freeman. He was born aboard a ship crossing the Atlantic Ocean in approximately 1798. According to the 1851 census for Brighton there was a Charles 15 and a Lydia Lowe 13 living with MORROW, Thomas (yeoman) 28, and Esther 26 and their two children Euphemia 2 and Henrietta 1 year old. At the same time Freeman 16 who was certainly James and Jemima Lowe's son was living with Amos Lowe. It is assumed that James and, likely, Jemima were deceased by 1851 and left 3 orphans.
