Will Abstract

Inskeep, James - April 27, 1843; pr. June 28 and Aug. 28, 1848. Wife, Sarah, 5 children: 1) Abraham W. and 2) David (both had children; will just released these sons' debts to their father); 3) William Vance (had son, William Foreman Inskeep); 4) Joseph (had following 5 children, Elizabeth Wilson, Samuel Inskeep, Rachel Shrock, John Inskeep, James Goldsmith); 5) Samuel. Executors: brother, Abraham, and friends - Vance an Gabriel Fox. Witnesses: John B. White, William J. Armstrong, John W. Kern, William Davis, and Thomas Welch. Widow refuses will; Witnesses: Jno.     When James Inskeep was born on April 28, 1765, in Hampshire, West Virginia, his father, Abraham, was 29 and his mother, Susan, was 26. He married Sarah Frye on December 27, 1785, in West Virginia. They had 14 children, Abraham W, Elizabeth, Fanny, William V, Susannah, Joesph, John, James, Samuel, David, Van Meter, Sarah, Rachel and William Vance in 30 years. He died on May 25, 1848, having lived a long life of 83 years. He was buried on his farm filed in the Hampshire county Deeds Bk. 14 pp. 110
