From The Granberry Family and Allied Families by Watterman and Jacobus, p. 9-11 " Thomas Maning (and wife Sarah) of Norfolk County, VA., conveyed 16 Dec 1758 for love to son-in-law James Granberry of same county, 50 acres in Norfolk County near the head of the Western Branch, part of land which formerly belonged to John Tucker, with houses, etc. Witnesses: Thom, Jeremiah and Henry Creech."

"Thomas Creech, Richard Powell, Enos Tart and Jeremiah Creech were appointed to appraise the estate of James Grandbury, 16 July 1761."
