James Elmer Geschwender, 73, of 71st Street, an Airco Carbon Co retiree, died Saturday (June 27, 1987) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Niagara Falls and lived here all his life. In 1976, he retired as a millwright from Airco Carbon Co after 25 years of service. Geschwender was a past member of the LaSalle Spotsmen's Club. He is survived by his wife, Nettie Geschwender; mother, Martha (Clarkson) Geschwender of Niagara Falls; a son, James F. Geschwender of Niagara Falls; a stepdaughter, Blanche E. Chase of Lancaster, Calif.; sisters, Isabelle Sessman of Jansen Beach, Fla., and Audrey McCombs of Niagara Falls; brothers Frank Geschwender of Sanborn, William, Ernest and Vernon "Bud" Gaschwender, all of Niagara Falls; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will be present from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Otto redanz Funeral Home Inc, Michigan Avenue at 10th Street, where the Rev Dr James N. Brewster will conduct services at 11am Tuesday. Burial will be in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda.
