I James Garrison considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind & memory, (blessed be Almighty God for the same) do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following Viz: I give and bequeath unto my wife Mary Garrison the one third part of my real estate and lands that I may have at my decease and to her heirs and assigns forever- The remainder of all my real estate and lands I likewise give and bequeath unto my wife Mary Garrison during her natural life I give and bequeath unto my wife Mary Garrison all my household furniture and likewise I give and bequeath unto my wife Mary Garrison all my personal Estate except so much as ill be sufficient to pay my funeral charges, just debts, and pay for three setts of Tomb Stones viz, One set for myself, one set for the grave of Mahala Woodruff deceased, one set for Mary Woodruff. I give and bequeath unto the widow Abigail Letts the sum of Fifty Dollars to be paid to her at the expiration of one year. I give and bequeath unto Garrison Secor [James' wife's sister Elizabeth married Abraham Secor, Garrison could be a nephew] the sum of Found Hundred Dollars. I give and bequeath unto William Belcher Four Hundred Dollars. I give and bequeath unto Peter Pilgrim Two Hundred Dollars. I give and bequeath unto Edwin R. Woodruff the sum of Two Hundred Dollars. I give and bequeath unto Mary Elizabeth Woodruff the sum of One Hundred Dollars. I give and bequeath unto Rachel Hall One Hundred Dollars. I give and bequeath unto Morris North [man of that name married Rachel Hall] the sum of one hundred dollars, which said Legacies are to be paid out of the remainder of my Real Estate after the decease of my wife Mary Garrison, the said remainder of my real estate and lands to be sold by my Executors after the decease of my wife as soon as ...
