    James Flint was born May 13, 1749 in North Reading Massachusetts and died July 4, 1808. He married Zibah Flint June 18, 1776 in Reading, Massachusetts. Zibah was born April 10, 1752 and died in 1832. James was the son of Captain John Flint and his wife Joanna Farnham. Captain John Flint served in Revolutionary War. Zibah was the daughter of Nathaniel Flint and his wife Hepzibah Woodward. James and Zibah had nine children: Zibah, Lois, Joanna, Thurza, Vamalia, Farnham, James, Nathaniel, and Hepzibah. Lois was born May 11, 1779 in Bridgton Maine and died November 21, 1858. She married William Bennett. They had eight children.

    Both James and Zibah were descendants of Thomas Flint of Salem, Mass. Zibah descends from Thomas' oldest son Captain Thomas and James from the second son, Sgt. George.

    "James Flint - 2nd son of John, born in North Reading 5-13-1749 and died July 4-1808. Farmer and lived in Bridgton Me., to which place he removed in 1776. A descendant says of him that "he moved to Bridgton when it was a wilderness, there being but three or foour families resideing there at the time. From all I can learn in relation to him, he seems to have been a man of sound common sense, and highly respected by his townsmen. He took an acive part in the affairs of the town for many years - being one of the Selectman, having charge of the pubic mills, attending to the roards, and doing buisiness for the proprietors, etc. In religious sentiment he was strongly and throuughly a Calvinisitc.

    Married June 18, 1776 Ziba (daughter of Nathaniel Flint and Hepizbah (Woodward) Flint)."
