James Buchanan Black was married on three occasions.The first wife was Rebecca Brazil who died within the first year of their Marriage.She was the daughter of Jacob Brazil of N.C.The second was Mary Jane McCaslin who was the mother of James R, Thomas G. Sarah Jane and William Andrew.At fifty seven years of age Mary Jane(McCaslin) Black died.James Buchanan Black then married Margaret White on 11 November 1837.James and Margaret are interned in the Elm Point cemetary which is now in a cornfield in Bond county Ill.
