    "13-2. James2 Barker (James), married 10 May, 1667, Mary, daughter of William Stickney. They moved to Suffield Conn., before 1682. By deed, dated 19 Oct., 1748, Samuel Garker, Eldad Barker, Thomas Barker, all of Springfield, Mass., Jemima Copley, Abigail Barker, both of Suffield; Joseph Barker, weaver, and Sarah Barker, spinster, both of Westfield, Mass., convey to Richard Easty of Rowley, land in Rowley, formerly laid out to James Barker, late of Springfield, deceased (Essex Deeds, 92:35). By deed, dated 22 Oct., 1748, Remembrance Wright and William Wright, both of Northfield, Mass., convey to Richard Easty of Rowley, land in Rowley, formerly laid out to James Barker, deceased. One share of said estate went to James Barker's daughter, Mary, now deceased, who married Capt. Benjamin Wright, deceased; she had children, viz; said grantors and two daughters, one of which is now dead (Essex Probate, 92:36)."

    James Barker2. He lived in Rowley and Southfield, "Stony brook," Hampshire county, being at Southfield in 1680, and several years previously. He was of Springfield in 1697. He married Mary Stickney May 10, 1667. She was called Mercy in 1680. He was deceased in 1748* [mentioned in 1748 Rowley land transaction]
    "Remembrance Wright and William Wright, both of Northfield, Hampshire County, conveyed land in Rowley laid out to James Barker, deceased, one of his heirs being Mary Barker, deceased, who married Capt. Benjamin Wright, deceased, who had borne by her, said William and two daughters, and said Remembrance bought the right of one of the daughters and the other died, 1748 - Essex Registry of Deeds, book 92, leaf 36.'
