Will Abstract

Jacob Sowers' will of 1822, gives his place of residence as in town of Winchester, named the following relations: only son John Colston, Ann Sowers, wife of John Heiskell, Sydney Sowers wife of Nathan Parkins, Margaret Sowers wife of Lewis Hoff, Elizabeth Sowers wife of James Glass & deceased daughter Margaret Sowers wife of Wm. Waller (her portion to her three children: Eveline Stubblefield, Emily Waller & Edwin Waller). Mary's married name was hard to read looking for another record to be sure of the name.

Also on the same film the will of Margaret Hampton, the mother of Jacob Sowers' wife Isabella. Her father was George Hampton. It appears that some if not all of the Hampton's of Frederick Co. VA were descendants of John Hampton the Scottish Quaker from East Lothian/Freehold, NJ.
