Gilbert of West Brookfield" that "Jacob Kent late of said West Brookfield" gave "his widow Dolly Kent one undivided half of his real estate & the remainder thereof to be equally dividied amonth his three children viz Lucy Ann Gilbert wife of your petitoner, Elsie Clapp wife of Elijah Clapp who has since deceased leaving a daughter Ellen Elsie Clapp a minor now under the guardianship of said Elijah & Harriet Jones wife of Chesslden W. Jones all of West Brookfield", ask that estate be divided. Also signed by Dolley Kent, Chesselden W. Jones, Harriett K Jones, Elijah Clapp.
15 Jun 1850: Set out to "widow of said Jacob Kent, to wit, Dolly Kent", "to the other devisees of the said Jacob Kent viz To Lucy Ann Gilbert wife of Stephen W. Gilbert, Harriot JOnes wife of C. W. Jones and Ellen Eliza Clapp Daughter of Elijah Clapp", but "being in the opinion of the Commission incapible of a division without great injury", apparently to be held in common.
